The units of competence address each of the 10 Core Skills for Work Development Framework. We have chosen these Units of Competence as they are general units from the Business Services package and are general enough that they cover a wide range of industries and allow the job seeker to develop skills sets that would be expected of an entry level person in most businesses regardless of industry.
We have designed our Units of Competency so that they are work like and drawn on real workplace experiences. All of our trainers are current professionals in their related fields and have extensive experience and current skill sets. In the third week of Training Block 1 we start to deliver non-accredited Employability Skills training covering topics such as; General appearance, CV building and interviewing Skills.
Further to the accredited Units of Competence we have added Non-accredited training such as WHS to ensure that the job seeker has the ability to identify risks and the processes to reports risks where to report these risks to ensure they are actioned. The non-accredited units regarding employability skills have been designed in conjunction with Group Training Organisation Apprenticeships Are Us and Labour Hire and Recruitment Company People and West Recruitment. The units have been designed to be practical and simplistic. We have also combined units regarding life-skills that relate to employment.
